Kristy Wheeler, Executive Director

Kristy is the "go to" person for Fishhook's ministry - connecting board members, donors, and our Indian partners. After being a long time supporter of Fishhook, Kristy began working with us in the summer of 2024. She is an honors graduate from the University of Kentucky with a double major in marketing and management and has multiple years of administrative experience with local ministries and schools in the Central Kentucky area. For the past 20 years while working part time, she has concentrated on raising and educating her four children alongside her husband, Matt. She has a deep love for community, for family, and for connecting others with His Eternal Story .

Kim Turkington

Kim's background is in financial analysis and investments.  While working in the Treasury group at Ashland, Inc. she earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation as well as an MBA degree. Her undergraduate degrees from Centre College are in Economics and Spanish.  Other roles have included full time mom to two sons, home school teacher for three years , and volunteer and  board member for the local crisis pregnancy center, an adoption agency and her church congregation.  Kim also has a heart for prayer.  In addition she wrote Hope That Lives, A Bible Study for Cancer Patients.  The book came out of her first-hand experience with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma in 2005.

Will Turkington

Will is the recently retired Director of Quick Lube Acquisitions for Valvoline Oil in Lexington, KY.  After graduating from Taylor University with a degree in Economics, he earned an MBA and has spent most of his career in the petroleum industry. He and Kim have been married since 1982 and have two sons, Daniel and Isaac. Will has led a local Habitat for Humanity chapter, church mission teams, and Crown Ministries groups.

Dale Ditto

Dale is Senior Vice President and Financial Consultant with Hilliard Lyons in Lexington, KY.  He previously spent 20 years in private practice as an attorney. He has been married to Louisa since 1983 and they have five sons, Will, Stewart, David, Jack and Daniel. Dale has served many Christian non-profits including CBMC, Kentucky Harvest of Lexington, and A Helping Hand Adoption Agency.

Louisa Ditto

In addition to raising five sons, Louisa has been active in the church and community.  She also served as a Bible Study Fellowship small group leader for many years.  Louisa has the gift of hospitality and is constantly inviting people to her home to hear missionaries speak.  She has also raised funds for mission work in India and China through her creative efforts.

W. David Hager

David Hager

David is an OB/GYN in Lexington, KY. He has held numerous leadership positions in his profession and is a member of the Focus on the Family Physicians Resource Council.  Locally he serves at Nathaniel Mission and The Refuge Medical Mission, and he directs a Celebrate Recovery Program with his wife Pam. Their blended family includes five children, four daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren.

Pam Hager

Pam Hager

Pam is an interior decorator with her own business, Dzigns by Pam.  She is actively involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren.  Pam has been a leader in women's Bible studies and instructional programs.  She is currently a leader in the Celebrate Recovery program at Bethel Harvest Church and is also involved in prayer ministry.

Sherry Hamilton

Because Sherry has worked alongside her husband Tim in the insurance business for many years, she has a keen business sense that is beneficial to the Fishhook board. Sherry also has extensive experience due to being a part of ministries to women in her local church.  She is currently enjoying being involved in the lives of her seven grandchildren.

Martha Henderson

Mike Henderson

Mike is the founder and Executive Director of Heart of Africa, an organization which supports African initiatives in leadership training and community development. He has been a pastor and college/seminary professor in both the United States and Africa for forty years. Dr. Henderson is a graduate of Asbury College and Seminary, Yale University, and Indiana University.

Samantha Hill

Samantha is a third grade teacher who cares deeply about children. She also has a huge heart for missions, especially sharing Jesus with those who have never heard about him. She is involved in local ministry reaching out to her international neighbors in Lexington, Kentucky. After spending a summer in India living and working with a ministry family, Samantha knew God was calling her to be involved in reaching India with His love.

Matt Hogg

Matt and his wife Jenny co-founded Remix Education in 2008. Remix partners with schools and churches to provide high-energy, interactive assembly programs to teach kids positive values and character traits. Remix has even taken teams to India to train and equip Fishhook’s Indian partners to do similar programs. In college Matt was the mascot for the University of Kentucky Wildcats. He went on to become a professional mascot for the Washington Wizards. Now his main gig is running Remix and being dad to four awesome children.

Jenny Hogg

Jenny is a native of Atlanta, GA. She came to the University of Kentucky to be a member of UK’s award-winning cheerleading squad. In 2008 Jenny and her husband Matt co-founded Remix Education. (see description in Matt’s bio above,) Currently Jenny continues to be involved in a supporting role with Remix doing administrative work as well as occasionally being part of the high-energy programs to teach and mentor kids. The major calling on Jenny’s life these day is being a homeschooling mom to her and Matt’s four children.

Sue Philpot

Sue worked as a registered nurse for 22 years in outpatient surgery and recovery. Her heart for missions began as she grew up in the Belgian Congo, where her parents were missionaries.  That passion for missions accelerated in 1989 when she and Tim first went to India. Currently Sue's ministry focus is discipling and mentoring younger women.  Sue and Tim have been married since 1971.

Tim Philpot

Tim is a retired Circuit Judge in the Family Division in Lexington, KY.  After graduating from the University of Kentucky School of Law, he was a trial attorney, state Senator in Kentucky, and International President for CBMC. Tim and his wife Sue have been married since 1971.  They currently live in Loxley, AL.
